Useful information:
The Ems is the second longest river in Germany after the Weser, which originates in Germany and flows into the sea. The source is located in the Senne Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock, and the mouth is located northwest of Emden in the North Sea. The river is navigable for a length of 206 km, with the majority of this stretch being a federal waterway. The natural and non-navigable sections are popular among canoeists. Many parts of the Ems are also designated as protected landscapes.
In Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock, there is the Ems Adventure World, where visitors can learn interactively about the river from its source to its mouth.
