The Vyg is a river in the Republic of Karelia in northwest Russia.
The river consists of two sections:
The upper course is formed by the 135 km long Upper Vyg. It originates in Lake Egosero to the south-east of Vygosero and runs in a north-westerly direction through a marshland landscape, flowing through several smaller lakes.
The lower course is formed by the 102 km long Lower Wyg. It drains the Wygosero to the north and flows to Onega Bay, the south-western end of the White Sea. The Lower Vyg is regulated by several dams and locks and is part of the White Sea-Baltic Sea Canal.
